NOT DESPISED IN OUR AFFLICTION
Believers in Christ can be assured that we never go through anything alone. Even if there is no human support, our God is always with us.
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
- Psalm 22:24
Though some people may distance themselves from us when trouble comes, our God is faithful to stand by us in our affliction. It is up to us to cry unto Him in prayer for His grace and strength in every trial. We know that the Lord will not always remove the affliction, because sometimes it is necessary for our growth. But He will go through every one of them with us. When we trust in Him, He hears us, helps us, and upholds us with His everlasting arms.
