THE DESIRE ACCOMPLISHED
It is good to spend our time and efforts in worthwhile pursuits, for completing our tasks brings us joy.
The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.
- Proverbs 13:19
Worthy goals are good, but perhaps the greater concern is to finish what we start. When we are on the right road, it is always too soon to quit. The Lord has a blessing up ahead when the task is accomplished. May He give us a holy desire and a focus to finish well in every endeavor He leads us to begin. And may He give us the strength to keep on keeping on when we are most tempted to give up. When it is completed, we will truly experience sweetness in our souls.
