A CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
Our God is a rewarder. He loves to bless His people. Therefore, it is not wrong to desire a reward.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
- 2 Timothy 4:8
There is a crown of righteousness that the Lord will give to those who serve Him faithfully and eagerly anticipate His return. This is amazing because we only serve Him with gifts that He gives, strength He provides, and opportunities that were opened up by Him. And when we are watching for His return, it motivates us to be faithful in ministry. May God help us keep fighting the fight of faith and looking up for His return. A crown of righteousness awaits us.
