HE DIDN'T COME DOWN
Bearing insults and unjust criticism is difficult, but our Lord set the example for us in this.
Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

While He was dying on the cross for their sins, the crowd around Him was mocking Him! But our Lord had nothing to prove to them. If He had come down from the cross, they would be lost forever. He stayed on the cross because He had a larger purpose to fulfill, that is, to do the will of God the Father. He endured such great suffering to pay for our sins. May God grant us the grace also not to come down and get turned aside into conflict with those who oppose us. Lord, please help us stay focused on Your will, and with a good attitude.
