HAVE YOU NOT READ?
It is okay to begin the Christian life with ignorance about God‘s Word, but it is not at all good to stay that way.
And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him? - Mark 2:25
Our Lord posed this question to the Pharisees, who were supposed to be spiritual leaders of the Jewish people. Their ignorance was inexcusable. Whether we are in leadership or in a teaching role or not, we must learn and grow in God‘s Word. The passage He was referring to was an Old Testament passage in 1 Samuel. We must feed our souls on God’s Word daily and not neglect either the Old or the New Testament. Ignorance of God‘s Word is not bliss, for it will be harmful to your spiritual health.
