SHOW AND DON’T TELL
Many believe that we need to show off whatever benefit, strength, or advantage that we have to let others know about our perceived greatness. But that is wrong, and it is the way of the world.
Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?
- Proverbs 20:6
We should never go around proclaiming to anyone about our goodness, for that is a sign of foolish pride. What we should do is focus on being faithful to the Lord. His opinion of us is what matters most anyway. He sees not only the deeds that we do, but the thoughts that we think and the attitude that we possess. Let us seek to be 100% faithful where God has placed us, seeking only His approval. He will honor us in due time. Faithfulness beats flaunting and boastfulness every time.
