MAINTAIN GOOD WORKS
We are saved from our sins by faith alone in Christ alone, and not by works. But good works are certainly important after we are saved.
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. - Titus 3:8
Faith is certainly the root of our salvation, but good works are the fruit of it. For the sake of our testimony, if we want others to believe that we are saved, they will need to see good works to believe it. We also ourselves will need to see good works in our lives if we are to have assurance of our salvation. Remember that we are more than just forgiven; we are new creations in Christ. It must be stressed that we are not saved by good works, but we certainly are saved to do good works. Then let us be busy doing good in the name of Jesus.
