SUFFERING IN THE WILL OF GOD
We usually have a hard time suffering hardship, especially when we are in the right. But suffering is sometimes God’s will for us.
Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
- 1 Peter 4:19
Whether it be persecution, sickness, mistreatment of others who just do not like us, or an abundance of other causes, sometimes we are called upon to suffer. What we should do in those times is commit ourselves to the Lord, trusting Him to sustain us, and to give us all the grace that we need. We can be certain that our God is faithful, and as our Creator, He always has a purpose in what He sends or permits. It will be for His glory and for our good as we respond rightly to suffering in His will.
