LIVING RIGHT AT HOME
We need to maintain a good testimony in our public lives, but it is equally important that we live right at home and in our private lives.
I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

This was David’s resolve when he was becoming king of Israel, and it should be ours also. May God help us to live in such a way that even those who live with us and who are closest to us can see Christ at work in our lives. And even more so when we are alone in our private lives, may we still seek to live righteously when no one sees us but God. If we can live righteously at home, then our public living will take care of itself. And when we slip up by saying or doing the wrong things, we must quickly get ourselves right with God and our loved ones again.
