REJOICING AND WEEPING WITH OTHERS

Our tendency in life is to focus on our own situation, whether it be in triumphs  or in heartbreaks. But God wants us to also look around so we can minister to others as they experience life’s highs and lows.

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
- Romans 12:15

We are members of the same spiritual family and of the same body in Christ.
Sometimes it is hard to rejoice with those who rejoice because we are not being blessed in the same way. That’s why we need this command. Sometimes it is hard to weep with those who weep when our own hearts are broken. But there will be times when our own burdens are lifted as we help carry those of someone else. The Christian life is a call to selfless living and love to others, which is really a demonstration of our love for God.

And should it ever come your time to mourn, I will weep with you

nAnd every single time you win, I'm celebrating too

n

nI will be an open door that you can count on

nAnywhere you are, anywhere you've been (I will be there)

nI will be an honest heart you can depend on

nI will be a faithful friend
