IT IS A GOOD THING
Prayer is vitally important in the life of a believer, but so also is being faithful to praise the Lord.
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night. - Psalm 92:1-2
Yes, it is a good thing to praise the Lord for many reasons. It is good because it is unselfish and God-centered. It is good because He alone is worthy of praise. He is our Creator, Savior, Sustainer, and Provider. He has done, and He continues to do so much for us. To refuse to praise the Lord is a form of idolatry. It is good to praise the Lord because it turns our focus from our problems and troubles to the one who can do something about them. It also encourages us as we praise Him in song or in testimony. It is good to praise Him because it encourages others as we do so. And there are many more reasons that it is a good thing to praise Him!
