COMMUNICATE LIKE A CHRISTIAN

Part of the evidence of a cleansed and transformed life in a Christian is a cleansed and transformed tongue. We should no longer speak as we once did before we were saved.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Ephesians 4:29

It is usually easy to speak this way in good times. But God calls us to let no corrupt (rotten) communication proceed out of our mouths, even when we are provoked, angry, or tempted by others. In fact, rather than using our speech to tear others down, we should use our words to build others up. Of course, there is a place for loving confrontation and correction of others when necessary. But it must be in the spirit of love, and with the other person‘s best interest in mind. Let us use our words to communicate grace to others, for that is exactly what the Lord did for us.
