GOD IS ON THE THRONE
There is so much that is wrong in our world right now with sin bounding and the righteous often suffering mistreatment. But God is on the throne, and He has always been.
The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.
- Psalm 93:1-2
Mankind can only do what God permits. Most earthly leaders reject the authority and wisdom of God, as do most of their citizens. This leads to much conflict, chaos, and suffering. But God has a plan, and it will surely come to pass. We who are believers must remember not to trust in human help or keep our heads in the news. Rather, we should trust in the Lord our God and King, and in His Word. Jesus is coming again, and He will rule the whole earth in righteousness, truth, and justice. But even now, our God is on the throne.
