UNHURT BY THE FIRE
We know quite well that being a Christian does not exempt us from trials and tribulations. We also know that the Lord preserves us through them all.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
- Daniel 3:24-25
God preserved these three young men in the physical fire, and they came out unhurt! The only thing that was burned was the ropes that bound them. They didn’t even smell like smoke! When God allows us to go through the spiritual fires of life, it is not to consume us, but to refine us. And He is always with us when the heat is on. As we learn to trust Him in the fire, we will come out better every time.
