MY SOUL WAITS

Waiting can be one of life‘s most difficult experiences. But it is a necessary part of our Christian lives, and essential for our growth.

I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
- Psalm 130:5-6

We must determine to wait on the Lord when we are tempted to rush ahead and take matters into our own hands. Otherwise, we will surely do and say things that will bring us and others much pain and regret. But this waiting is not necessarily passively sitting around and doing nothing. We wait in prayer, we wait as we serve, and we stay connected to God‘s Word as we wait. These activities help quiet our souls as we wait for the Lord to do what only He can do.
