NOT WITHOUT THE LORD
We all have goals, desires, and dreams that we would like to see fulfilled. But it is best that we make sure that they are aligned with what God wants for us.
And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
- Exodus 33:14-15
The Lord promised Moses that He would lead the Israelites into the promised land and give them rest. This was even after they rebelled against the Lord and worshipped a golden calf. Moses desperately wanted to go to the promised land, but more than he wanted the promised land, he wanted the presence of God. It is good that we have desires, goals, dreams, and holy ambitions, but above all else, we need the power and presence of the Lord to go with us, or we are destined to fall flat upon our faces.
