UNSHAKABLE AND UNMOVABLE
In a world of constant change, it is hard to be steadfast. Our circumstances are constantly changing, our own feelings change, and many people around us are changing. How can we be steadfast?
Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
- Psalm 112:6-7
The secret to being unmovable and unshakable is not in our character or willpower. We need to be anchored to the One who never changes. When we are committed to trust in the Lord amidst all of life‘s constant changes, it is then that we shall not be moved. Our hearts cannot be fixed on our circumstances or problems. Our hearts cannot be fixed on anything that we cannot control. Our hearts must be fixed on the Lord. And we must take every burden and cast it upon Him. He will keep us from being shaken and tossed about.
