THE STRUGGLE WITHIN
There is an internal struggle that every believer faces day in and day out against sin. But there is surely victory to be had.
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

We know what is right, and we want to do right, but it requires more than knowledge and good intentions to overcome the evil that we fight against in our own hearts. Knowledge is important, especially the knowledge that we died with Christ and are risen with Him to walk in newness of life. But we also need power. And God provides that power in the person of the Holy Spirit, who indwells us, leads us, and empowers us to overcome sin. He works in us to enable us to conquer sin and obey God as we depend on Him moment by moment and step-by-step.
