IF ANY MAN SINS
We discover very quickly that being saved from our sins does not make us sinless or perfect. When a believer sins, God has made provision for us.
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
- 1 John 2:1
Before we were saved, we pursued sin with great desire. Now that we have been saved from sin, we find it constantly pursuing us. Before we loved it and often felt no remorse. But now we loathe it and feel deep conviction from the Holy Spirit whenever we fall to its prey. But God has given us an Advocate, our Lord Jesus, who died for our sins and now represents us in heaven. When we confess our sin and turn from it, He picks us up and restores us to a right relationship with God again. Do all you can not to sin. But when you do sin, trust in our blessed Advocate to restore you once again.
