ALL THINGS SEEM TO BE AGAINST ME
In the midst of a difficult experience and when everything looks bleak, we must not give way to fear or lose hope.
And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me. - Genesis 42:36
Jacob was distraught that his sons wanted to take Benjamin to Egypt because Simeon was in jail, and he thought Joseph was dead. He believed that he was in the process of losing all of his sons! Little did he realize that God was using all of his experiences to bring his family back together and have a wonderful reunion with Joseph. It is no different with us. Difficult experiences and bad news paint an ugly picture to the human eye. When all things seem to be against us, we must remember that God is working all things together for our good. And we will be delighted with the result.
