WE MUST KEEP GROWING
In the physical realm, children are very eager to grow and become bigger, stronger, and more knowledgeable. The same ought to be true with our spiritual lives.
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
- 2 Peter 3:18
There is a tendency among believers to become stagnant and comfortable, and refuse to grow. That is why God has to command us to keep on growing. We are to grow in grace, humbling ourselves before the Lord and trusting Him to work in our lives. We are also to grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior through prayer, worship, God’s Word, and service. And when we find ourselves getting too comfortable, God will send motivation to get us growing again. We must keep on growing until our Lord comes.
