MUCH MORE NOW
It is true that we need to give up some things to follow Christ. But it is also true that we gain much more than we had before.
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
- Romans 5:9-10
Adam and Eve had perfect lives in a perfect environment in the garden of Eden, but they lost it all. In Christ, we gained much more than Adam and Eve lost. With the gift of salvation, we gain eternal life in heaven, the forgiveness of sins, the Holy Spirit to live inside of us, access to God in prayer, and entrance into the family of God as His sons and daughters. And that is just a few of the benefits that we gain. And we lose nothing that matters. We lose the devil being our master, we lose hell, we lose a guilty conscience, and living in the fear of death.
