BE PATIENT WITH ALL MEN

Relationships with others are one of life’s greatest blessings. But they are also one of life’s greatest challenges. We definitely need patience.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
- 1 Thessalonians 5:14

Patience does not come naturally, but is developed in us as we trust in the Lord and obey the Holy Spirit. This same word, as translated longsuffering, which means just that - to suffer long. And remember how patient God has been with each of us! Let us also not forget that we often need it too. The fruit of impatience is sin and pain, but the fruit of patience is stronger and healthier relationships. Whether family, friend, or stranger, be patient with all men.
