LET NO MAN DESPISE YOU
Though we are all made of the same clay, human beings have a tendency to look down on one another. May that not be true of us! And may we so live in God‘s grace that we give others no reason to despise us.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
- 1 Timothy 4:12
People may want to despise us because of our youth, or because of our older age. People may want to despise us because of our ethnicity, gender, social status, lack of education, or lack of financial resources. We cannot control that. What we can do is live in such a way that our example overshadows whatever seeming disadvantage we may have. May God help us to be an example in our words, our lifestyle (conversation), our faith, our love, and our integrity(purity).
