GOOD THINGS FOR THOSE WHO ASK
It is good to be reminded that our heavenly Father is the perfect model upon whom earthly fathers are patterned.
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? - Matthew 7:11
If a loving human father delights in giving to his children, how much more will our Father in heaven give good things to us in answer to prayer? He loves us supremely, He owns all things, and He is very generous! And like an earthly father, our God wisely knows what is best for His children. We are free to ask for what we desire, but we do not always know what is best. Sometimes His loving answer is “no.” Sometimes His answer is “wait.” And sometimes His answer is to give something we do not want but that we rather need. And sometimes His answer is “yes.” Keep on praying!
