A GREAT CHANGE COMING
Our bodies are subject to much wear and tear over time, and we are subject to pain, disease, and ultimately to death. But God has more in store for those who are believers in Christ.
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
- 1 Corinthians 15:51-52
All of us are subject to death, except for those who will be alive when the trumpet sounds and believers are taken up to heaven. Though those believers will never die, all of us will be changed… In a moment! We will receive glorified bodies that will be perfect in every respect, and not subject to injury, pain, disease, or death. For the time being, these mortal bodies in which we live are frail and fragile. But we have a great change that is coming that we will get to enjoy and experience forever.
