GOD GIVES THE INCREASE
We all delight in seeing the results of our work and ministry, but there is so much that is beyond our control.
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
- 1 Corinthians 3:6-7
What we must never forget is that faithfulness is our responsibility, and that fruitfulness and increase are up to God. We must see ourselves as spiritual farmers planting and watering seeds. Then we must learn to wait and trust God to bring forth fruit. This is true in work, in relationships, and in every form of ministry. We have no power to bring forth increase. But we must always be faithful, even when it seems that there are no results. Keep on praying, keep on trusting, keep on waiting for God to give the increase that only He can give.
