THE ONE FOR WHOM WE WAIT
By nature, we are impatient people, but one of our greatest needs in life is learning to wait. Waiting for people can be very frustrating, but there is One for whom we gladly wait.
And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
- 1 Thessalonians 1:10
Just as surely as He came the first time, Jesus is coming again! And He is coming to take those who have trusted Him for salvation out of this world and into heaven. This is not legend or folklore, but Bible truth. We are not looking for heaven on earth. We know that things will continue to get worse on earth as time goes on. We are looking for the blessed Hope of our Lord to return. We wait not for an event, but for a Person. And He is certainly worth the wait. In the meantime, we have work to do to proclaim the gospel to those who will hear us.
