We were created for the Lord, but because we are earthbound creatures for the moment, we are often tempted to seek satisfaction and fulfillment upon this earth. But it will never be found here.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. - Romans 15:13
This is a prayer that Paul prayed for the Roman Christians, and is one that we should pray for ourselves. We need to ask the Lord to fill us with His joy and with His peace. And we need to pray in faith. We need to trust the Lord to help us abound in hope. Hope is not merely a wish, but it is a confident expectation of what is coming in the future. Then we need to ask the Lord to empower us by the Holy Spirit to live the Christian life. This is where true fulfillment is found!
