LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS
Darkness is associated with many things, such as fear, sin, uncertainty, and despair. And we have just the resource to deal with the darkness.
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
- Psalm 119:130
The Word of God gives us light. And since darkness and light cannot coexist, the light of God‘s Word dispels the darkness. As we read it, study it, and meditate upon it, it brightens our path, brightens our hearts, and enlightens our eyes. God’s Word helps us center on Him, and the fact that He is in control of all things. It directs our minds to eternal realities rather than the circumstances of this present world. As we read it faithfully, it gives us wisdom and understanding to deal with life‘s daily realities. It truly chases the darkness away.
